the area and staff were lovely, and the house was clean and comfortable. Geraldine, our host, was extremely welcoming and even provided us with a welcome pack including cakes and milk. the cottage itself had everything we needed, including a kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. the location near Lough Derg was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, and we were able to visit attractions such as Birr Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, and Killaloe.
A great stay with plenty of amenities and a friendly host. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like.

The nearby lake was a highlight, offering breathtaking views and the opportunity for boat tours. The host was friendly and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Plus, the welcome tea/coffee, milk, and cakes were a lovely touch.
There were a few minor issues that didn't impact our overall experience, but are worth mentioning. Some parts of the house were a bit worn, such as the windows needing replacing and painting externally.

We absolutely loved our recent stay at Waterside Cottages! The location was fantastic, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The cottage itself was spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outside area was a great bonus, perfect for enjoying the good weather. The cottage provided great value for money, and we were impressed with how many people it could accommodate.
Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the windows and door needing some TLC and the beds not meeting our personal preferences, these were inconsequential in comparison to the overall positive experience we had at Waterside Cottages.
